Berlin, Germany

Michael and I explored Unter der Linden on Tuesday only to find that the Reichstag was having work done on the dome, so you couldn’t go up in it. Go figure, the only week he is here. So I made sure he saw the Brandengburg Gate and then we headed back to studio. Then I let him be on his own for the rest of the afternoon while I failed at school yet again.

Today, mid-review went horrible and I’d prefer to pretend that it didn’t happen. School is not on the good side of the spectrum right now and it’s a rough subject.

Tonight we’re going to see if we can go up in the TV Tower and possibly have dinner up there. Then tomorrow, Michael and I leave for London. I’m very excited and it will be more than nice to have a little vacation time.

A Small Documentation of China Box.

China Box is open from about lunchtime until about 6 AM. They don’t speak very good German let alone English, but if you just point to the sign you can get what you want. You can get a small box, which is more than enough for me, for 2.50 euro. Its prime location allows it to catch all the people coming home from the bars on the same street. Excellent marking if you ask me. If you don’t feel like walking home crookedly while eating box, you’re more than welcome to eat box in the restaurant where you can sit at their tables which seems to be created by large amounts of twigs sprouting up to hold up the seat or the table. All in all, China Box is good whether you’ve been drinking or not and it’s cheap and close to the apartments. I will recommend this to all students studying in Berlin. I’m also hoping that China Box expands into a chain (if it isn’t already one) and brings some branches to Boston, preferably in the area of Brigham Circle or Mission Hill.
