Pompei, Italy
Rome was great. We had a great first day there. The Colosseum and Roman Forum were absolutely breath taking. Pictures won't do it justice. It was a quite relaxing day, but we sure did manage to tire ourselves out pretty good.
We will be headed to Palermo on an overnight tain tonight after spending the day in Pompei. I hope the weather holds out for us as it has been amazing for our first day. We ate both meals outside just because we could.
Now back to my nap...

Rome, Italy
I'm sad because it is kind of dismal here with overcast skies. Hopefully it gets better. Were in a taxi on our way to the Vatican right now hoping to get in on a recommended tour. Italians are kind of crazy drivers. Can't wait to see the city!

Rome tomorrow.. then to Pompeii.. then to Palermo.
Then another week way worse than this week was. I don't enjoy this part of school.
Hopefully this week will be relaxing.. fingers crossed all goes well and no earthquakes occur!

Hertha lost unfortunately, but a good time was had by all. And it was probably one the best things I have decided to do since I came here. Their football games are almost like Red Sox - Yankees game (although if they were saying bad things to each other I wouldn't have known) but there's a lot more flags waving.
Also screw sausage, boulette is where it is at. It's like a large meatball, only better in a little roll.

We didn’t see a lot of landmarks there, but we did explore the city. We took a boat twice. It was perfect weather. High 60’s (F) and sunny with a little bit of a haze. And there are cranes... everywhere. No exaggeration. Everywhere. It was just really nice. We also analyzed a square, like they usually make us do. Then Dani, Erik, and I had dinner above a walkway next to one of the canals. It was so good. We even shared a blanket. It was kind of romantic :-p.
If you don’t hear from my blog in a while, don’t worry I’m just dying from the amount of work I have. No big deal. I’ll be headed to Italy next week. Hopefully I don’t die before then. I already bought some Red Bull. The beauty of being an architecture student at it's finest.
